One of the Sempervivum species seen at the Kendrick Lake Park xeriscape garden in Lakewood, CO. Sempervivum is a genus of about 40 species of succulent plants of the Crassulaceae family which grow in rosettes. Common names used for some of the species (and also for some plants in other related genera) are “houseleek” and “hen and chicks.”
The Cairn Lives!
In 4 days it will be 1 year, and cairn #7 is still standing. Bits have fallen off, but we restored it to its magnificent glory.
